Project 180 Downtown Streetscape

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

In response for the need to improve walkability for pedestrians in downtown Oklahoma City, the City of Oklahoma City launched Project 180, part of the MAPS 3 initiative. The $180 million investment in the 180-acre core area, generated a 180-degree shift in the appearance of the city. MAC was selected to provide design services for the reconfiguration of streets, public and private utilities, and ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps. Downtown streetscape construction included landscaping, public art, marked bike lanes, decorative street lighting and additional lighting on street parking spaces.
