The City of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma City Airport Trust selected MacArthur Associated Consultants (MAC) to design the “Reconstruct Taxiway H” project at Will Rogers World Airport. This project included the reconstruction of existing Taxiway H to meet the current Advisory Circular 150/5300-13 requirements. This included redesign of the taxiway turns at each end of the taxiway in accordance with the new FAA criteria. It also included a special design of the alignment and taxiway turns at the south end to keep the existing 24-inch high-pressure gas line out of the Object Free Area of the realigned taxiway. The project included paved shoulders in the Runway 17L-35R safety area so that the runway would not have to be closed again in the future for shoulder construction.

This project earned a Gold Award from the American Concrete Pavement Association for excellence in concrete pavement.
